The operator problem
Programming a device manually could require identifying the correct chip and locating the matching HEX file. Each manual lookup created an opportunity for error.
Software solution
I built a custom user interface where personnel select a product number and press Program. The application handles the underlying selection steps, removing the need for operators to find the chip part number or firmware file themselves.
Practical impact
The goal was a simpler, less error-prone programming workflow. The original write-up describes reduced user error but does not provide measured throughput or error-rate data.
